The USA fell to Argentina, 3-1, Sunday in the third game of the series. The scorers for Argentina were Silvina D´Elía, Alejandra Gulla and Luciana Aymar, while the scorer for USA was Sarah Dawson.
La primera etapa fue la más pareja que se jugó a lo largo de la serie. En las anteriores, Argentina había logrado sacar una buena ventaja antes de los diez minutos, pero en esta se fueron al descanso con sólo un tanto de diferencia, gracias al gol marcado por Silvina D´Elia (3´)
Las titulares fueron Laura Aladro; Ayelén Stépnik, Claudia Burkart, Noel Barrionuevo; Daniela Sruoga, Luciana Aymar, Mariné Russo; Josefina Sruoga, Alejandra Gulla y Macarena Abente. Ingresaron Gabriela Aguirre, Geraldine Fresco Pisani, María Sol Parral, Mariela Scarone y Delfina Merino. Al igual que en los anteriores dos juegos, dirigieron el salteño Maximiliano Scala y Mariana Reydo, de Buenos Aires.
En líneas generales, los sleccionados no jugaron una buena primera etapa. Pero aún así, ambos seleccionados tuvieron sus rachas en la ofensiva. Y la racha más clara la tuvo Tifany Huisman, cuando en tres ocasiones, desperdició la chance de igualar el juego.
En el complemento, Argentina sorprendió con el gol de Alejandra Gulla al minuto de juego y pasó a ganar 2 a 0. Diez minutos después, Stepnik pasó al ataque y desbordó por derecha para mandar el centro que conectó Aymar. Así, las dirigidas por Retegui llegaron al 3 a 0.
Por el lado norteamericano, se puede comentar que, nuevamente no tuvieron un buen partido. Sobre todo en el complemento, cuando se registraon muy pocas entradas suyas en el área argentina. Pero aún así, llegaron al descuento, gracias a Sarah Dawson (30´)
Con este triunfo, Argentina mantiene un puntaje perfecto en la serie amistosa ante Estados Unidos: tres jugados, tres ganados. Pero además significó el tercer encuentro ganado en la era del “Chapa”.

Only ten minutes after that, Aymar scored another goal off a skilled pass from Stepnik. The results were 3-0 until then. It was not a big game for the USA Women’s National Team. During the overtime they did not capitalize their opportunities and there were few drives into the striking circle. The only scorer was Sarah Dawson (30`).
Argentina has won three matches from five-game test series. This means a lot to the new coach, Carlos “Chapa” Retegui.
