 La Federación Internacional de Hockey sobre Hierba (FIH) es la organización que se dedica a regular las normas del hockey sobre hierba a nivel internacional, así como de celebrar periódicamente competiciones y eventos.
Tiene su sede en Lausana (Suiza) y cuenta en 2007 con la afiliación de 121 federaciones nacionales. El presidente en funciones, desde el año 2008, es Leandro Negre de España. La FIH fue fundada el 7 de enero de 1924 en París por representantes de 7 federaciones nacionales: Austria, Bélgica, Checoslovaquia, España, Francia, Hungría y Suiza. La FIH controla dos categorías del hockey: - hockey sobre hierba - hockey de sala Organización La estructura jerárquica de la federación está conformada por el Presidente, el Secretario General y los Vicepresidentes, el Congreso (efectuado cada dos años), el Cuerpo Ejecutivo y los Comités Técnicos. |
